Janie congratulations. You deserve each and every special moment in your life. This one is no different. You have worked so hard to get to this point. Bravo!
I'll be getting a copy that's for sure.
I love you my friend
Congrats Janie,
Can't wait to see your work in this Splash edition number "lucky" 13!
I've never actually seen one of those books, but I'm happy you're in it. congratulations Jane!
Thank you Guy and Nick!!! Hey Nick...you are just too busy these days!!! You need to get out a hammock and cool your jets...hee!
Congrats on the honor- I thought your name looked familiar as I searched the internet for watercolor blogs. Any secrets to getting in the Splash series? I entered last year but was not accepted. :(
You have great work BTW

Ryan, there is no secret to getting into the Splash series...it is just like a national show...the painting must capture ones attention within the first few seconds...because they are weeding out to get the number down to something they can handle...it is not easy, but each time you are rejected you must look at those who are in and analyze yours against them and see what they did. However, that said, many times yours might be better but you maybe lacked contrast or a strong center of interest or weak color. You just have to really study your own work and hone your skill..and then it takes luck because so many fine artists enter.
Congratulations.
I've just viewed your interview with Carrie, and have just got my breath back :0) amazing.
I have become a follower, I hope you don't mind.
I don't paint! So I will stand quietly at the back of the blog, and watch if that's OK.
Thank you John!!! Welcome aboard! I have been more inactive this summer but hope to get things rolling here better once the cool weather comes...for now I have to work in the gardens and put everything to sleep for the winter!
