Radish Watercolor Demo Continued

Well I will be the first to admit I am spending way to much time outside but after such a long winter I just have to be in the sunshine! I have been working on the basket today however. What I discovered is I had drawn it wrong and had to do alot of correcting so that is what took up the major part of my time. I did finally figure out the structure of the end of the basket as well and a few days ago I did begin drawing in the table with a little more drawing on that I might be able to begin the lower 1/2 of the painting! Just sticking with it slowly but surely. I will eventually get it done and enjoy summer as well! I am sorry I am just not getting good light to have the paper white as it should be but hopefully I will snag the light next time!

Radish and Basket in Watercolor

I thought I would give a little update on my Radish painting. I have not gotten to work very much on it...if the sun shines I am in the garden these days! But today it rained so I did get a little work done. Figuring out this basket is taking alot of time...I have to rethink that right end and then try to get that done the next time I paint and I thought the table cloth would be easy but it is not...the perspective is killing me on that too...ha! But hopefully it will all be worth it in the end!

Daniel Smith Article by Jane Freeman

I was very pleased to see Daniel Smith had used what I did in my book for an article online! I sure hope they will use it one day in the magazine as that would be really wonderful too! Here it is so you can check it out. I am very honored to have them use my book for this!

Radishes in Watercolor

I have started a new painting only with all the rain we have been getting I have not been getting really good photos. The paper wants to look so gray so I tried to do something in photoshop but it was not totally successful but it will work for now. At least it lightened up the background but I did blow out a few edges. Hopefully my next photo will be much more clear!
With summer here it is hard to find painting time as my garden calls to me. After such a long winter it is really hard to stay in the house so this painting may take a bit longer but that is ok. The goal is to finish it not win a race! ha!
